Summary

The role requires a deep understanding of capital markets, strong execution capabilities, and the ability to convert market intelligence into profitable trading strategies. The successful candidate will be expected to actively monitor market movements, analyse macroeconomic trends, identify emerging investment opportunities, and provide strategic trade ideas to internal stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute buy and sell orders for equities, government securities, corporate

bonds, and commodities on behalf of institutional, ensuring best execution

practices.

• Strictly adhere to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Ghana regulations,

GSE trading rules, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols.

• Provide real-time market intelligence, price quotations, and trade confirmations

to clients. Maintain high fiduciary standards.

• Build and maintain relationships with key market players (regulators, brokerage

firms, portfolio managers, and prospective investors) to support effective

collaboration.

• Identify and engage prospective clients to expand the existing client base.

·        Monitor macroeconomic and other environmental trends that may affect the

value of investment portfolios.

• Monitor intra-day exposure, margin requirements, and settlement risks. Ensure

all trades are settled within stipulated timeframes.

• Maintain accurate and adequate documentation on order logs, and client

transaction records for regulatory audits.

• Analyse market trends, company announcements, and macroeconomic data to

advise clients and internal teams.

•  Complete other tasks assigned by management as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration

or related field. An MBA or professional certification (CFA Level I/II) is an added

advantage.

• Successful completion of the GISI, GSE certification courses, or any other

courses specified by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Ghana Stock

Exchange.

•  Must be a Registered Securities Dealer with the Ghana Stock Exchange.

• Minimum 3 years of direct experience on a trading floor or dealing desk at a

licensed brokerage, investment bank, or asset management firm in Ghana.

• Thorough knowledge of regulatory framework and understanding of

macroeconomic theory, monetary and fiscal policy and their respective impact

on markets.

•  Proficiency in GSE trading platforms (e.g., Central Securities Depository - CSD).

•  Solid quantitative and analytical skills.   

• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills are required.

• High integrity, ability to work under pressure, excellent numerical accuracy, and

strong client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

Driving

• Safely operate commercial trucks
• Transport goods with heavy truck or tractor-trailer
• Routes includes both intercity or regional across country
• Involves the adherence to traffic laws
•  Navigating various road conditions, and maintaining control of the vehicle at all times

Loading & Unloading

• Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, deliver them as instructed
•  Load and unload cargo
• Securing the load properly to ensure it remains stable during transit and following any specific instructions provided by the shipper or receiver

Route Planning

• Constantly on the road moving from city to city and within regions of the country
• Involves long hours on the road, away from home and family for extended periods
•  Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps
•  Identifying the most direct and safe routes to the destination

Vehicle Maintenance

•  Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance and routine maintenance checks
• Ensure that vehicles are in good working condition, this includes inspection of tires, brakes, lights, and any other essential comp
• Pre-inspect trucks

Compliance & Regulations

•  Comply with safe work practices, policies and processes at all times
• Must be able to adhere to strict schedules, navigate diverse weather conditions and comply with various regulations governing the transportation industry
• Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy

Communication

•  Communicate with dispatchers and receivers and any other stakeholders throughout the journey
• Provide updates on delivery status
•  Report on any issues or delays
•  Any other duties as assigned
•  Any other duty as assigned by line manager and CEO

REQUIRED SKILLS

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Commercial Driver’s License - Class F
• Certificate from an accredited CDL school
• 21 years or older
•  At least 1 – 2 years driving experience over-the-road trucking (OTR) experience
•  Experience driving long distance both day and night

Personality

• Must possess excellent driving skills
•  Must have a thorough understanding of safety protocols
• Must have the ability to maintain focus and alertness during extended journeys
• Must communicate frequently with dispatchers and receivers to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that may arise during transportation
• Must be able to pass random drug tests
• Must have the ability to lift heavy load repeatedly throughout the day
• Must have clean driving record with no convictions in the past 3 years
•  Must have strong listening and verbal communication skills
•  Must be dependable

Assisting in receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and recording receipt of goods in inventory. Inspect and check incoming goods for damage, discrepancies, or defects, reporting any issues to the warehouse manager and coordinating with vendors or suppliers for resolution. Perform physical inventory counts, and stock checks to ensure accuracy of inventory records and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system data Assist in organizing warehouse space .

 Monitor inventory levels and stock replenishment needs, alerting warehouse manager of low stock, over stock or potential stockout situations to facilitate timely ordering and replenishment

 Assist in inventory reconciliation and stock adjustments, documenting inventory movements, adjustments and transfers. 

 Prepare shipping documents, packing slips, and labels for outgoing shipments, ensuring compliance and shipping regulations. 

 Coordinate logistics providers and carriers to schedule pickups, deliveries and transportation of goods. 

 Assist on conducting regular safety inspections, equipment checks, and preventive maintenance activities on warehouse equipment, reporting any defects or malfunctions for repair. 

 Provide support to warehouse staff and assist in training new hires on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation. 

 Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and company policies governing warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. 

REQUIRED SKILLS

Education / Experience

•  HND/Degree in agribusiness, agriculture, economics, animal and crop science or related field
•  2 -3 years’ warehouse work experience
•  Inventory management

Responsibilities

Import (Incoming)

·        Check arriving vessels, be very conversant with their locations, vis-à-vis the files being worked on

·        Processing of all necessary documents

o  Standards board

o  Import Declaration Form (IDF)

o  Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Form

o  Animal Production Permit (APP)

o  Pass of customers declarations (Bill of Entry (BOE)

·        Ensure that documents have been received by importers

·        Keep in constant communication with importers

·        Print and prepare:

o   electronic module on Ministries, Departments and Agencies (eMDA), in ICUMS.

o  Work on exemptions (IDF, Ghana Standards etc.)

·        Type letters of exemptions and authorization

·        Work on quotations for importers

·        Shipping line releases (emails & letters)

·        Communicate to operations to clear goods

·        Request for shipping line invoices from the vessels when they arrive  

Exporting (Outgoing)

·        Typing of all export letters necessary

·        Booking slot(s) on the vessel for carriage of goods

·        Follow up with all necessary emails

·        Answering queries in the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS)

o  Images

o  Dimensions etc.

·        Passing of customs declaration

·        Track the sailing of vessels (location etc.)

·        Provide client with proper feedback regarding arrival of goods at port of destination

·        Ensure proper inhouse documentation

o  Study the invoice/packing list/bill of lading

o  Make all necessary corrections on invoice and bill of lading prior to submission

·        Ensure that amount declared to client tallies with the final amount accessed by Ghana Customs for proper audit

·        Typing of other document related letters

o  Answering customers questions

o  License renewal letter

·        Any other duties as assigned by management

REQUIRED SKILLS

Education / Experience

·        Bachelor’s Degree logistics, procurement, shipping management, or business administration

·        3-4 years’ work and industry experience

·        Experience using the ICUMS
